Parent Engagement Training - SCHEDULE
Practical Parent Education's Parent Engagement Training is designed to give participants a comprehensive set of skills in two days of interactive fun. Practical application and practice are joined with theory and research so that parent educators leave with the following concepts and the confidence to make them applicable in their programs:
- an understanding of the field of parent education as it has emerged in the 21st century
- recognition of the benefits to children when parents and families have appropriate parenting skills
- an understanding of family systems and its application to parent education
- strategies for promoting school and community support for parent education programs
- confidence in establishing and maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
- effective group facilitation skills

- "Online Access" to curriculum, renewable annually ($59.00 after 1st year per trained facilitator)
Training and Curriculum Information:
*Trainings scheduled at your site require a minimum of 12 participants and the hosting program will be responsible for the trainer's travel expenses if out of the DFW area.
*For all trainings outside of the DFW area, the travel expenses are shared among all participants (prorated $70 - $100 per Registrant depending on location of the training).
