Combining her experiences as a veteran public school teacher and administrator with her experiences as an educational entrepreneur, Dr. Lucy Long now serves as Director of Operations for Practical Parent Education LLC.  Her thirty-five years of public school experience in Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas were followed by six years in private industry founding a company focused on curriculum models and professional development.  For six years, she directed the parent education programs in Plano Independent School District in Texas. She continues to develop and evaluate curriculum,  training and implementation models with Practical Parent Education as the company implements programs across the United States and in two foreign countries.  

 Dr. Long and her husband have four children and nine grandchildren.
